About the Chapter

The DC AGA Chapter is rolling into 2026 in great spirits – receiving a Recognition of Excellence award from the National AGA for our Citizen Centric Report (CCR) – Program Year 2025.

The DC Chapter has some exciting events and opportunities to kick off the new year, including:

  • Our popular hybrid luncheons resume on January 21, 2026 with valuable insights from General Service Administration Chief Financial Officer Nimisha Agarwal (pending Agency approval).
  • The DC Chapter Capitals game event with fellow DC Chapter AGA members to help cheer on our local Capitals hockey team.
  • An exciting, free, in-person MPGC Sponsored professional development session, GAO Standards in Action: Fraud Risks and Audit Excellence, is scheduled in February.

Register early as space is limited for these events. Navigate to our Events and Trainings page for more information on these events

The AGA DC Chapter is now seeking nominations for our next President-Elect and Treasurer-Elect. For further information, visit the News article.

The DC Chapter is growing our volunteer leadership team and invites members to step into a couple of available key roles that help shape the future of our Chapter. View the Volunteer page for more detail.

Also, to help build the next generation of government financial management leaders and AGA members, we invite you to become a Young Professional Ambassador with your alma mater, or any college or university with which you have a connection, local of not. Read the Young Professional College Connections Request Form news article to sign up.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement as part of the AGA community. Together, we connect, recognize, and empower professionals who serve government in both public and private sectors, advancing good governance and promoting transparency. Let’s kick off the new year with this continued purpose.
